LPG Painting & Remodelings Green Initiative
LPG Painting & Remodeling's GREEN initiative is setting the standard for environmental awareness within the residential painting industry. "I hope my Green initiative will educate and motivate homeowners and businesses to use more products that are environmentally friendly."
Since I've been in business I've used paint products manufactured by Porter Paints and Pittsburgh Paints that feature low volatile organic compounds known as VOC's. High-VOC paints release toxins and hazardous fumes that irritate homeowners, especially children and people with allergies and chemical sensitivities. "Nearly all of the paints I use are low-VOC (50% or below) and made of waterborne latex." Paints that are 100% VOC free are available too! These products cost little to nothing more than other products with higher VOC's.
Sustainability is gaining momentum worldwide. From recycling to energy efficiency to reducing carbon emissions there is a growing importance to minimize our impact on the environment. Building renovation and construction is at the forefront of this movement. Building green promotes continued health, financial savings and social responsibility throughout the entire community and has a significant impact on our environment.
